The Ministry of Christopher's Hope

Our Mission & Purpose

Our Mission

To teach the Word of God and practice living the Word of God so that some day the "Hopesters" and staff will "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself."  Mark 12:30-31

In Short our mission is to love unto life.  Is not this the same as Jesus, who gave Himself sacrificially in love so that we may know Him who is life?

Our purpose is similar...

To glorify God and join Him in His work.

God has invited us into a relationship with Himself where He calls Himself Father and us His children.  It is a relationship of loving acceptance and belonging.  God initiated this with us and it is a joy to be in His family.  For a 'hopester' to know the love of our Heavenly Father means their identity of orphan is no longer.  This is God's work in Gonaives and we are joining Him in this beauty to ashes story one child at a time.  We not only want to raise responsible young men and women who grow up and contribute to society, but sons and daughters of God who make disciples of those around them, lead their families to worship Jesus, and also join God in the redemptive work He is doing in Haiti.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.
